Carlyn Beccia paints using Corel Painter, Adobe Photoshop and a Wacom Cintiq. She uses Painter's real media oil brushes on a Simulated Woodgrain Paper to achieve the depth and texture of traditional oil painting (without the messy cleanup and turpentine killing her brain cells). Her pressure sensitive Cintiq allows her to apply varying levels of pressure as she paints directly on the screen. Does all this sound very geeky? It is. And kids especially love seeing Beccia demo her art techniques on her lap top. Request an author visit for more information.
